About SCHC
Founded in 1973, Siskiyou Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) with approximately 115 employees at eight sites and is the only non-profit safety net clinic currently serving the population in Josephine County. In addition to providing medical and dental care, Siskiyou Community Health Center provides the community with Outreach and Behavioral Health services, three School-Based Health Centers, a CareVan designed to provide mobile dental care, and an on-site Pharmacy and Acute Care clinic.

Job Description
The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for working with a staff of approximately 15 Providers, ensuring a high quality of care in both medical clinics by working with the Providers and management in establishing and maintaining clinic policies, procedures and protocols. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, maintaining and improving provider productivity, provider recruitment, organizational strategic planning, ensuring clinic compliance with FQHC requirements and participation in quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Chief Medical Officer recommends clinical objectives with reference to implementation of health plans, represent clinical management in administrative matters, advise on information system needs and interpret clinical data, as well as advocate for the organization and serve as a liaison to local and state professionals, as appropriate.

Position Requirements
• Current Oregon M.D. or D.O. medical licensure.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
• Minimum five (5) years experience in medical administration, with experience working with underinsured/uninsured patients.
• Previous experience in an FQHC Clinic setting highly desirable.
• Evidence of current malpractice coverage.
• Clear record with the Board of Medical Examiners.

• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to focus on key performance metrics.
• Familiarity with current medical issues and practices.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
