Radiology Technician – Part Time

Siskiyou Community Health Center is looking for a part time Radiology Technician to join our Ancillary Services Team in Grants Pass.

The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing General X-Ray procedures according to Provider’s orders from Primary Care and Walk-In Clinic. The Radiology Technician utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to exposure factors, imaging technique and patient treatment.

Duties for this position include:
Prep patient for radiological procedures in accordance with Provider’s notes or instructions.
Complete medical history if not previously completed.
Explain procedure to patient and assists with positioning of body parts to be radiographed.
Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
Adjusts controls on the x-ray machine to produce radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part.
Produce digital x-rays of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems.
Maintain patient records and log radiologic procedures as completed. Process related paperwork using computer as directed.
Adjusts and maintains equipment as needed to ensure it is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to Manager.
Maintains adequate level of supplies and reorders as necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
Graduate from certified Radiologic Technology School or Program.
Minimum 1 year related work experience.
Current applicable state licensure (OBMI) in Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic and national registration in Radiography (ARRT-R) required.
BLS/CPR Certification required or ability to obtain.
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred.
