Joe Dunn, DMD, Chief Administrative Officer/Chief Dental Officer
Dr. Joe Dunn joined Siskiyou Community Health Center in 2019 as the Chief Dental Officer. Dr. Dunn came to Siskiyou with a dedication to serving underserved communities and a passion for delivering sustainable health care for all. Prior to joining Siskiyou, Dr. Dunn spent 14 years at Adelante Healthcare in Phoenix, AZ. While there, he served in many different capacities, and grew the dental department from one small, four chair clinic to five dental clinics serving the people of Maricopa County.
Growing up in Idaho, Dr. Dunn was accustomed to hard work. His father used to barter with loggers in the area for wood, and Joe was tasked with cutting, splitting and hauling the wood to heat their home. At 14, he worked swing shift at the local potato processing plant in the dry pack department while attending high school. When he was 16, Dr. Dunn moved to Hawaii and completed his high school correspondence while working in the pineapple fields. At age 18, he obtained his commercial driver’s license and started driving pineapple trucks delivering pineapple from the field to the cannery for juicing.
Dr. Dunn’s professional career started when he attended Ricks College before transferring to Utah State University for undergraduate studies. He completed his dental degree at the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Dunn has had additional training in implants and orthodontics. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Dunn enjoys the great outdoors and likes hiking, camping and fishing.
